EF to FD lens conversion

After converting my Emcomat7 to CNC, it was time to make some Canon FD(n) to EF mount conversions.

Each FD lens has different specific dimensions, so for each lens measuring, designing and a different CNC program is required.

For the difficult lenses, a prototype was first printed in PLA to check the dimensions and to see if there was enough space left for operating the aperture. Also to check infinity focus.

The aperture rod was also printed.

This was done by machining an EF mount that fits instead of the old FD mount. Now it’s easier to swap between lenses with an EF mount.
